Blended Learning Essentials FutureLearn MOOC: 2 weeks to go – archive post from 20/10/2015

FLbleMOOC2

The 2nd November sees the launch of Blended Learning Essentials a free online course for people working in further education, skills training, vocational education, workplace learning, lifelong learning or adult education. The course is designed to promote the many benefits of blended learning and explore how to make effective use of technology to support learners.

Using the hashtag #FLble1, the first 5 week segment of the 2 part course allows delegates to:

  • use a range of effective blended learning practices and pedagogies
  • understand how free and affordable technologies can enhance teaching and learning
  • approach new technologies with confidence, designing a pedagogical approach to make the best use of these tools

I am lucky enough to be one of the ‘Digital Champions’ who are acting in a mentoring role supporting learners on the course to help them understand the practical, everyday challenges of using blended learning. The champions are a group of colleagues from the sector with the experience to answer questions, to discuss ideas, share problems and signpost possible solutions.

Around 10,000 educators worldwide have already signed up to this FutureLearn course – join us to explore how blended learning can benefit your practice and your learners.
